Each seed has a fixed amount of PIDRNG frame advancement, but the amount is not consistent from seed to seed.

The PIDRNG is advanced by an inconsistent amount from the intended starting frame.

Your IVs are selected from IV frame 11, not 1.

During a speedrun, you obviously cannot do this you set the clock, then you must go through the entire New Game sequence before picking your starter. You want to have a ~50% success rate before trying to do it in a run.ДЄt all times, the Smogon guide assumes that you're going to manipulate by saving and quitting to reset the clock. This is easiest to do on an existing save file late in the game, so that your IVs are easily apparent after catching a PokГ©mon.
